August 2017 Playlist
Oh, August. I'm a fan. It always feels like a blink while it ushers in nostalgia of summers past.
This mix begins with some soulful alt-r&b, transitions into some soft meditation, picks up with with electronic pop and hip hop, and I bring it back down to a bluesy, folk reflection because that's how I like it.
Transition is in the air. I imagine playing this during last-minute trips before fall returns with its chilly, misty morning change.
I've included some new releases from The War On Drugs (that guitar solo, omg), Andrew Belle (worth the wait), Arcade Fire (slow build sad/goodness), and The National (they get it). It's a feeler.
As always, I do hope you enjoy it. And if you're into sharing which ones are resonating with you, I'd love to here it. And if you have any recommendations, feel free to comment below. :) I'm always down for discovering new (and new to me) songs.
Savoring the last of summer with you,
